My Foot Detox Machine Keeps Beeping At Me And Shutting Off?

When your machine is continually beeping at you it means you have put too much salt in the water. This excessive salt causes the amperage of the machine to exceed the 2.0 mark. If the machine exceeds 2.5 it will shut itself down. Some machines will say “add water.” So what does this all mean? It simply means that the extra salt in the water is conducting too much electricity. To avoid this, simply turn your machine on without putting any salt in the water. From there, check the amperage reading on the machine. If it is below 1.3 then go ahead and add one small pinch of salt in between your finger and thumb. Make sure to give the salt and water a few seconds to dissolve before looking at the amperage reading again. Continue this process until you get the machine to the target level of 1.5-2.0. If you have already added too much salt, simply add more water if possible, or dump out the water and start again.

The Machine Isn’t Showing Any Numbers At All?

If the machine isn’t showing any amperage readings at all there could be one of a few problems. The first thing you will want to do is add salt to see if you can get the amperage to raise to a readable level. If adding salt does not fix the problem it is likely your array has reached the end of it’s usage period. Use another array to see if the machine will work properly with a new array. If neither of these two options work double check the instruction to make sure you have the machine on correctly, the power/voltage switch is set to the correct side, the fuse is still good, your wrist strap is on and secure (if your machine uses one), and the mode is set to the recommended setting.

    Amperage Is Jumping Around

It is typical for the amperage of a machine to fluctuate in between .1 to .2. However, if your foot detox machine starts jumping by .5 or more this is usually a sign that your array is starting to fail. These large jumps in the amperage readings

How do I clean my Ionic Detox Arrays?

View our how-to guide for cleaning arrays.

How Often Should I Clean the Ionic Detox Arrays?

Ionic Detox arrays should be properly maintained through cleaning the arrays (see the question above), as this extends the arrays life. You can clean the arrays after each session — a good idea if you’re not the only one using the machine — or after every 2 or 3 sessions if you’d prefer. Keep in mind that if you’re only doing a session per week that the water from the foot bath will be on the arrays the entire time, so cleaning after each session is recommended.

What is the Difference Between the Different Array Colors?

    We answer that question here.

How do I Know When Arrays Should be Replaced?

They array will take more and more salt to raise it to the same amperage. Eventually the array will output 0.0 amps.
