Mark Axelson, Founder of HEALTHandMED
Mark Axelson is the founder and president of HEALTHandMED. He started the company in May 2007 in Des Plaines, Illinois, and moved it to Cedar City, Utah, in July 2009, where HEALTHandMED is based today.
Background
Mark holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Iowa (1992) and an MBA from Brigham Young University (1997). Before founding HEALTHandMED, he worked in the capital medical equipment industry, where he gained hands-on experience with medical technology and with what healthcare providers need from the equipment they rely on every day.
What Mark does at HEALTHandMED
Mark oversees the design and development of the IonizeMe ionic foot bath range: the IonizeMe Maxx, Maxx 5 and Maxx Dual. Each one is made in the USA, shows its live output on the display and carries a full 5-year warranty. He also leads the sourcing and evaluation of every other technology HEALTHandMED offers, including GForce whole body vibration machines, saunas, SpectraLight light therapy and Chanson water ionizers.
Since 2007 Mark has worked directly with home users, wellness practitioners and business owners, answering their questions before they buy and supporting them long after their order arrives. That first-hand experience shapes every guide he writes or reviews.
