Can Ionic Detox Help People With Autism? - HEALTHandMED
We’ve already found out how far infrared saunas can help with autism, but how about Ionic Foot Detox machines?

According to a new report, autism prevalence has risen to 1 in 59, an increase from the same report that found a prevalence of 1 in 68 in 2016. The debate is out about what exactly has caused the increase in autism cases, but is there anything we can do to help treat some of the symptoms?

Preliminary studies on the affect of ionic foot detox on people with autism seem to say “yes.” The studies show a 35% – 55% reduction in autism symptoms after using an ionic detox foot bath. In the study, all of the participants showed a reduction regardless of their age, though it seemed to have the greatest positive effect on teenagers (64%).

In children, parents observed that children seemed more self-aware of their feelings, more verbal, more calm, and less volatile mood-wise.

While more research needs to be done, these preliminary results show an immediate positive impact.

The first of the above studies was done in December 2015 using a participant pool of 27 male and female participants ranging from 2 to 13 years of age using an ATEC (Autism Treatment Evaluation Checklist) at intervals of 30, 60, 90, and 120 days. View study. The second study had 24 participants ranging from 2 to 13 years of age. Prior to the start of the study, each participants parents completed an ATEC (Autism Treatment Evaluation Checklist). View study. Both studies performed by TEAM Thinking Moms Revolution (TMR), a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization (http://thinkingmomsrevolution.com and http://www.teamtmr.org).
